The company started life as D&T Wilson roofing contractors 25 years ago and we still look after some large property factors that have been with us for many years, in 2009 we found that a lot of work was coming to us via recommendations from homeowners that had seen us conducting work on tenanted and factored property. Restore a Roof was born to not only appeal to the domestic market, but continue to service all our existing commercial clients.

A slate roof has a life expectancy of at least 80 years and could even last beyond 100 years it is truly a roof for life, a new slate roof comes with a quarry backed guarantee of 50 years (slate only) and an installers guarantee of 10 years, we specialize in random slate as well where all slate is reclaimed and dressed this is required on listed buildings with existing slate roofs.
Flat roofs have a life span of about 20 years, most flat roofs should be replaced with 3 new skins of felt for maximum protection, and comes with our 10 year guarantee. We also do leadwork as well as an additional service.
A concrete roof (modern tiles) has a life expectancy of 25-30 years, but Restoraroof can increase the lifespan by replacing the acrylic coating that wears off through time this may give the roof another 10 – 15 years before finally needing replaced concrete tiles are guaranteed by most manufacturers for 15 years but adverse weather conditions lead to the tile becoming porous after about 25 years.

Roof Renovation
We also offer a roof renovation service for concrete tiles only, we can color match most colors.
This is a four stage process, excluding the survey to assess whether the roof is suitable and not beyond repair, the coating once complete comes with our ten year guarantee and is also backed by a 12 year manufacturers guarantee.
Stage 1 Preparation, is a roof cleanse and repair which includes replacing cracked and damaged tiles (max 50) also cleaning out all guttering and collecting dirt on tarpolin at ground level.
Stage 2 This is applying anti-fungicidal to kill any moss or lichen that still exists within the tile, this helps prevent regrowth for up 5 years.
Stage 3 Apply primer to help the new acrylic coat attach itself to the roof.
Stage 4 Apply acrylic coating to the roof in the color of your choice.
